About this event
The USO is pleased to support the West Point military community during our annual Rucksacks to Backpacks distribution event.
- Registration is mandatory and limited to the first 120 children.
- A maximum of 4 children per family can be registered at a time. Children must be going into K through Eighth Grade to receive a backpack.
- Children do not need to be present for service members to pick up backpacks but would love for them to come!
- Open to children of Active Duty, National Guard and Reserve members.
SPECIAL NOTE
All registrations must be in the name of the parent or service member. Do not enter a child’s name on the registration form.
FAQs
Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?
Yes, active military IDs or active dependent IDs are required when checking into the event. Limited to children entering Grades K-8.
Is my registration transferable?
No, once you’re registered your ticket can not be transferred. However, it can be cancelled by returning to the link and cancelling your reservation.
Can I update my registration information?
Yes, you may return to the link at any time and update or amend the information you’ve provided.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
No, we’ll have the names at check-in.
The name on the registration doesn’t match the attendee. Is that okay?
No, the registered name should be the parent/guardian of the child. The parent’s name MUST match the active military ID or active dependent ID to be eligible to enter the event.
If you are unable to pick up from the event. Please let Joshua Thomas (jthomas@uso.org) know asap and we will hold the backpack(s). If we do not hear from you during the event, the backpack will be forfeited.
